Indian Folk Epics: Kannada

C.N.Ramachandran, a citizen of India, had his Honours and Master's degrees in Engllish literature and language from Mysore university (India), and doctoral degree in British drama from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio). Besides, he has a degree in Law and Teaching of English.

He has taught varied courses in English literature and language in different universities including Miami University, Mangalore University, and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). At present, he is an Emeritus Professor in Mangalore University, working on Folk Epics.

He writes both in English and Kannada (language of Karnataka,India); and has published so far four critical works in Englilsh and nine critical works in Kannada. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi; and has won two awards for his critical works in Kannada.
